The students of M.Ed Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu visited today at university adopted Government Higher Secondary School, Rahya (Samba) for the purpose of need based assessment.

The students visited the school under the guidance of Prof. Lokesh K. Verma, Head, Department of Educational Studies and faculty members Dr. Parmod Kumar, Dr. Ritu Bakshi & Dr. Aman. The students conducted a small scale survey under five main components i.e. Infrastructural facilities available in the school, position of staff members, enrolment of students, time table & methodology and academic support required in the schools. They also conducted interview sessions with the principal, teaching & non-teaching staff and students of the school.

At the end of the sessions, Principal of the school had held interaction with the students and assured for her cooperation in future as well. The Principal also explained about the strengths and constraints of the School. The faculty members of the Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu, ensured the Principal that the required academic support would be provided to the school for further improvement of its environment.
