The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences (DoCCS), CU Jammu was established in 2016 with Five-year Integrated M.Sc., Chemistry program (current intake: 35 seats). The department has started Ph.D. program in Chemistry since 2018-19 academic session.

The research interests of the faculty members cover broad range of chemistry including Organic Synthesis, Green Chemistry, Catalysis, Coordination Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry.
