The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management organized a day long Industry Interaction programme. Mr. Surit Singh, Head Institutional Alliance Safeducate (a division of Safexpress) interacted with the students of MBA (SCM) Semester-II and focused on relevance of Internship and Industry specific Certifications in the field of Supply Chain and Logistics Management. The industry representative briefed the students on the avenues and prospects of Supply Chain Management in terms of the present industrial scenario. He also clarified upon the misconception that generally prevails in the minds of the young management students as regards to Logistics Management. Video documentaries were displayed during the session for providing an in depth understanding and demarcating of the concepts.

The session also included discussions as regards to Internships in Supply Chain Management as well as Industry recognized certification in this emerging management field. The students were briefed upon the career prospects that exists in this emerging field of management alongwith recent success stories from placement point of view. Student queries as regards to their placements, internships and certifications along with other related issues were addresses by the Industry representative during the interaction. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gaurav Sehgal, Head-Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, thanked Mr. Surjit for coming down to CUJ and addressing to the queries of the students. Hefuther added that the session would surely help the students to decide judiciously for their internship. He further added that it was under the visionary guidance of Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor that such as interaction with industry was made possible. The session was also attended by the Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Sahid Mushtaq, Dr. Salil Seth, Dr. Anju Thapa, faculty of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
