CUJ will lead the Group of Seven Academic Institutes at Rashtrapati Bhavan

It’s a matter of great privilege and proud for Central University of Jammu that it has got an opportunity to lead the group of seven academic institute for the upcoming meeting of National Innovation Clubs on 8th March 2017 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.


In this regard, CUJ received a written communication from OSD Secretariat of the President of India dated 25 February, 2017 which states that Dr. Pankaj Mehta, Assistant Professor Environment Sciences and Coordinator University Innovation Cell of Central University of Jammu will lead the group of seven academic institute which includes NIT ROURKELA, NIT UTTARAKHAND, NIT WARANGAL, RAJIV GANDHI INSTITUTE OF PETROLEUM TECHNOLOGY, RAEBAREILLY, SCHOOL OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE, BHOPAL, SCHOOL OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE, NEW DELHI and SIKKIM UNIVERSITY to make the presentation before the Secretary to the President for the upcoming meeting of the national innovation clubs on Mar 8, 2017.
The presentation will consist of the activities and achievements of the institutions in the group in the areas of search, spread, sense and celebrate.


There are around 85 academic institutes representing Central Universities /IIT/IISER/NIT/Other Technological Institute which will be participating in this upcoming prestigious meet to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The institutes are divided into 10 groups to be leaded by one of the leader institute. The top ten leading institute which got selected to lead and make the presentation includes IIT KHARAGPUR, RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY, VISVA-BHARATI, NIT SRINAGAR, NIT TIRUCHIRAPPALLI, NIT SILCHAR ,TEZPUR UNIVERSITY, IIT DELHI , CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU and NIT GOA.


Pertinent to mention here that last year also Dr. Pankaj Mehta made the presentation before Secretary to the President Smt. Omita Paul and highlighted the major achievement of the University Innovation Cell, Central University of Jammu.
