FOUR-DAY WORKSHOP ON HINDI TRAINING

Four-day Workshop on Hindi Training began at CUL today for the benefit of the teaching faculty and non-teaching employees of the University. The Official language Implementation Committee of Central University  of Jammu, under the convenership of Prof N R Sharman  has taken this initiative to  enhance the use  of Hindi in its day to day functioning. During four days of the training workshop the participants will be trained on various aspects of usage of Hindi in official work such as official noting, drafting, report writing, etc.  Hindi workshopThe University has invited Prof Puran Chand Tondon , Director, Indian Translation Council , New Delhi, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dy Director , Kendriya Hindi Nideshalaya , New Delhi , Dr  Dinesh Dixit, Former Dy Director , Kendriya Hindi Nirdeshalaya , New Delhi  and Dr Harish Sethi  from  the School of Translation, IGNOU to deliberate on various aspects of the workshop. Prof N R Sharma formally introduced the resource persons and highlighted the purpose of organising this workshop.  In  his Inaugural address, the Registrar of the University, Sh. Jeet Singh laid stress on frequent use of Hindi in day to day work of the University wholeheartedly. He thanked the resource persons by rendering their support for this workshop.  He shared with the audience that University administration shall keep on striving hard to improvise the use of Hindi in the University. Prof Tondon gave a comprehensive framework of the workshop and asked the participants to enhance their competency level in Hindi through whole hearted participation in the workshop . Dr Rakesh Shrama , Dr Sethi and Dr Dixit also  took various sessions  of the workshop. The Programme was compeered by DR J N Baliya and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Priyanjan, Hindi Officer of the  University.
