To encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students of Jammu, a special initiative called “Jammu and Kashmir Future Talks” under the leadership of Hon. MOS Priya Sethi with the collaboration of the VCs of Central University of Jammu, Cluster University of Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was launched. In this series, the first interaction was organized by Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Council, Central University of Jammu at TAB,Sainik Colony, Central University of Jammu. To initiate the first phase, Mr. Japan Vyas from Sixth Sense, a Venture Capitalist and an Angel Investor interacted with the participating students from all the Universities of Jammu province on the theme, “How a Venture Capitalist thinks”.

Also,Ms. Shakun Sethi (Founder Dizuna Communications P. Ltd) motivated the students for creating Start ups. She informed that further opportunities existing within the state on various avenues including horticulture, tourism, handicrafts, etc can culminate into successful ventures at the national level and show case the state globally.
Speaking on the occasion, MoS briefed about the entire initiative and expressed her satisfaction on the efforts of the CUJ for taking the initiative to launch the event, She apprised that angel investors and mentors shall be provided at grass root level for promoting entrepreneurship in the state.

For the first time all the universities of Jammu have come together under a single banner, speaking on the occasion the Vice chancellor, CUJ, Prof Ashok Aima reiterated the establishment of a nodal centre for co ordinating the entrepreneurial and incubation activities of the State and requested the MOS to introduce entrepreneurship course as a mandatory course at UG and PG level .

The Central University of Jammu has been twice selected at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the meeting of National Innovation Club in the year 2016 and 2017 to showcase the work on Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. The Jammu and Kashmir Future Talks under the National PM-YUVA YOJANA would provide further rigor to the entrepreneurial promotion activities. CUJ plans to host a Enterpreneurship Awareness Camp at TAB in November 2017 and FDP in December ,2017 funded by EDI Ahmedabad

Prof. Anju Bhasin VC, Cluster University and Prof. Sanjeev Jain VC, SMVDU also spoke on the occasion. Earlier Prof. L. K Verma, Academic Co Ordinator welcomed the gathering. Dr. Pankaj Mehta, Co ordinator, University innovation Cell, CUJ presented a formal vote of thanks. Dr Jaya Bhasin, Chairperson UBIC, CUJ and Dr. Pankaj Mehta co ordinated the event. The students from University of Jammu, BGSBU, Rajouri, Cluster University, SMVDU, CUJ participated in the event along with the faculty members.
