School of Education, Central University of Jammu, under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teacher and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) is organising one month Faculty Induction Training Programme/General Orientation Course for Teaching Staff in line with provisions of UGC-HRDC and directions received from MHRD. The orientation course is being attended by faculty from Central University of Jammu and other Universities/Colleges across the region. Resource persons from across the country have been roped in to conduct various sessions during the one month long program. Speaking on the inaugural session Prof. Lokesh K. Verma, Academic Coordinator, CUJ briefed the participants about the course being conducted by School of Education and Faculty Induction Development Cell, CUJ. He complemented the efforts being put in by organising team for conducting the programme. He expressed hope that the one month Faculty Induction Training Programme shall align the newly recruited faculty members towards the various aspects of teaching–learning processes as well as new rules and guidelines prescribed by UGC. He expressed deep satisfaction that  under the aegis of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teacher and Teaching scheme, The school of Education is taking various initiatives to develop Human Capital of the country. He applauded the efforts of Dr. Jaya Bhasin, Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, Coordinator; FIDC, CUJ and Dr. Kiran, Coordinator of the course for their relentless efforts for making this programme see the light of the day.

The resource person for the session, Prof. K. Srinivas, National University of Education, Planning and Administration, an expert on e-learning and e- content development, conducted the sessions for the day and trained the faculty on digital aspect of education. Last session of the day was conducted by Prof. S. K. Shah eminent academician of the region. Earlier, Dr. Jaya Bhasin, welcomed the gathering whereas Dr. Kiran, proposed a formal vote of thanks.
