Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal organized a magnificent event on 17th July, 2023 at Central University of jammu on the auspicious occasion of Vyaas Puja. With the blessings of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), the event witnessed esteemed guests viz. Shri Jagdish Sharma, Vice President (Finance), Hemophilia Federation (India), Prof. Dilip Kumar, Palak Adhikari, Uttar Kshetra, Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, and Prof. Yashvant Singh, Registrar, CUJ, among others.

 

The event, dedicated to venerating the revered sage Vyasa, commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamps, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the spread of knowledge. The esteemed guests, as well as hundreds of students and faculty members, graced the occasion with their presence.

 

The highlight of the event was the esteemed presence of Shree Jagdish Sharma, a highly revered Vyas, known for his profound knowledge of ancient scriptures and his constant efforts to promote Indian culture and traditions. Sharma enlightened the audience with his discourse on the significance of Vyaas Puja and stressed the importance of imbibing the teachings of the great sage Vyasa in our daily lives.

 

Professor Yashvant Singh, Registrar of CUJ, formally welcomed the guests and emphasized the need to preserve our rich cultural heritage. He appreciated the efforts of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal in organizing events that promote traditional knowledge systems and blend them with modern education.

 

Additionally, chief guest of event, Prof. Dilip Kumar delivered keynote address. His deliberations were focused around  role of Indian knowledge system, Bharat-centric research, Indian ethos and values system, and our gurus in making Bharat Mata the Viswa Guru. 

 

Towards the end, Prof. Vandana Sharma, Head, Dept. of English, CUJ presented presidential remarks. The event concluded with Shanti mantra and National Anthem  by the university's students. The entire event was coordinated and moderated by Dr. Ketan Bhatt, Faculty member, DTTM, CUJ.

 

The Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal's event on Vyas Puja at the Central University of Jammu successfully proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience for all attendees.
