CUJ Celebrates 72th Independence Day

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu Prof. Ashok Aima today urged upon the students and the teachers to make University as centre of excellence though collective efforts.

Prof Aima accompanied by Registrar, CUJ Dr Ravi Kumar, unfurled tricolour in Bagla Campus in presence of students, scholars, faculty members, officers, office bearers of various associations, staff and their families.

Addressing, 72th Independence Day, celebration at Rahya Campus, he said it is not possible to take B++ University at new highest without support from Students and the Teachers. “We must dedicate ourselves towards nation building with renewed vigour and work for heralding peace and tranquility across the country”, he said and added that an onerous responsibility lies on our youth to contribute in the gigantic effort of steering the nation and the state towards peace, progress and all round development.

Sharing ongoing development works in the campus with gathering, the VC said that the main Road that connects with campus is under construction, and work would be completed before March 2019. “Presently, University providing hostel facility to students and scholars in rented accommodation,soon our own hostels for both girls and boys will be made functional in the campus as the works is in progress”, the VC informed the gathering.

At the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Guard of Honour was presented by the Security Guards of CUJ on the occasion.
