Three day cultural event which started on 11th of April concluded successfully here in Temporary Academic Block at Sainik Colony on 13th April. The event was organised by the department of student welfare. Total 400 students participated in 14 events organised during 3 day cultural event Udaan 2018. Participants displayed their talents in different events .

On the occasion of valedictory function, Vice Chancellor Jammu University R.D Sharma was the chief guest. Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Deepak Pathania in his welcome address on behalf of Central University of Jammu said that it was a privileged for him to welcome Vice Chancellor Jammu University on valedictory function. “Your presence in the valedictory function of Udaan 2018, admires students and shows your respect and love for them” he added. He further said that under the great leadership of prof. Ashok Aima Central University of Jammu is progressing day by day.

On this occasion Vice Chancellor Jammu University R.D Sharma said “I really congratulate the students who participated in these events”. On stressing the importance of cultural activities Prof. R.D. Sharma said that students should not let this opportunity go because these activities constitute very important discourse apart of the academics. Honourable Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu Prof. Ashok Aima in his address said “I delighted to have Vice Chancellor Jammu University R.D Sharma here”. Under his leadership the University of University is touching new heights, he added. Appreciating the participants he said that it should be part of our regular exercise. On the occasion of valedictory function VC Jammu University and VC Central University of Jammu released 3rd edition of half yearly magazine Utter Bahini.

In the end, prizes were distributed to the winners of different activities which occurred across three days. In On Spot Painting competition, department of Educational Studies, In light Vocal Solo, Dept. of NSS, in Mime Marketing and Supply Chain Management, Stand Uo Comedian Dept of Physic, in group Folk Songs Dept Economics, in College Making Dept of EVS, in Poetry Recitation Dept of English, in Mimicry B.VOC (TM), in Photography Dept of Educational Studies and in Rangoli Dept of MCNM got the first prize.
