Counselling Sessions on Covid Appropriate Behaviour and Medical Assistance (Phase I)

 The world is dealing with an unprecedented pandemic, Covid -19, that is posing unanticipated challenges requiring collective action and support from all. While the Central and the state governments are leading all the necessary measures to fight the crisis, there is a pressing need to reinforce the importance of preventive measures and practices in a sustained manner, to deal with the disease over the long run. In this regard,  the student counselling Cell, under the aegis of GSCASH, organised counselling sessions on the topic: Covid Appropriate behaviour and medical assistance.

The sessions were conducted in the online mode , spread over four days from 07-02-22 to 10-02-22. All the students across all the departments were involved and sensitized on the burning and this most relevant issue. Medical officers of the University, Dr. Harpreet Singh and Dr. Vijayata Puri were the key resource persons who were effectively and patiently discussed the issue and also handled the queries that students had regarding dealing with Covid-19. Dr. Jaya Bhasin, chairperson GSCASH, expressed that, adherence to covid appropriate behaviour needs to be followed and these counselling sessions will not only reinforce relevant behaviours as also enable the students to handle covid related anxieties. Dr. Ritu Bakshi, convener, student counselling cell and Dr, Neelika Arora, coordinator expressed their gratitude to the resource person and all the faculty members of all the Departments to coordinate with them during the first phase of the sessions.
