Central University of Jammu conducted its induction day at its academic block here today. The induction day for post graduate students was formally conducted after the admission process concluded. The Chief Guest for the occasion Prof. Ashok Aima Vice Chancellor CUJ apprised that the Central University of Jammu has introduced new coursesin sciences as integrated programmes. He informed that the University presently is running 34 programmes which include 12 research programmes, 15 Post graduation programmes, 4 Integrated programmes with exit option at honours level. Also, 2 vocational degree programmes and one diploma programme under the aegis of Community College are being offered by the University.

He apprised that the University is emerging at not only national but international scene after collaborating with various countries. He asked the students to put in efforts for defining status in society. He encouraged the students to go beyond the degree and think out of the box. He urged on developing quality career pursuits and emphasised on GIGO phenomena  for exemplifying life. He asked the teachers to shift from instructional to transactional methods. He shared that three things are important for today’s students  i e., curriculum, knowledge and preparing for life and career. He assured that the students at CUJ  would be provided with best curriculum, knowledge domain and would prepare the students to face life.
