Department of Nanoscience and Materials is functioning since July 2016. First two years department was operated in temporary academic block, sainik colony jammu. Presently, it is operating in main campus of CUJ, Rahya Suchani (samba), Dist. Bagla, Jammu. Department has vision to become a world leader in research and teaching of Nanoscience and Materials as address the local, national and international societal needs for the betterment of mankind and train the young researchers/students for advances in nano and materials technology with ethos. Department is endowed with state of the art instrumentation facilities and high tech labs sponsored by SERB, DRDO, DST.
Department having goal to provide a common platform for teachers, scientists and students in an interdisciplinary research environment to do frontline research on the Nano/Materials science for practical applications. Create a dynamic teaching and research atmosphere that will promote interaction and synergies among the different groups of researchers working in the field of Nanoscience & Materials and provide opportunities for international exchange of researchers, scientists and students.
