Let me take the opportunity to welcome you to the department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, Central University of Jammu.
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management was established in the year 2016 under the School of Business Studies. The vision of the department is to produce Management Graduates who would emerge as Pillars of the Nation and shall contribute in the development and growth of public as well as private sector around the globe. Since its inception, the department has grown substantially and has gradually come to occupy a unique position amongst the institutions of higher learning that focuses on management research and education. The department strive to equip the students with various skills to understand key marketing concepts and proper training to implement these concepts in the corporate world globally.
The department has full strength of faculty members with diverse and mixed work experiences from the industry and academia. Across disciplines, faculty offer a wide variety of core and elective courses for PG and PhD programme. Despite having a bar of 60% marks in the graduation degree to be eligible for admission, there is always a stiff competition amongst the aspirants to grab a seat. The department is developing towards one of the best places to get MBA degree in Marketing Management. Application based teaching methodologies encompassing case studies, simulations, workshops, role plays, guest lectures, and industry outreach programmes are opted by the faculty to prepare world class budding managers. In addition to this, organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences is a regular feature of the department.
We are aiming to considerably expand the department in emerging areas in the coming years. I am sure that the department will emerge as one of the most sought after departments in the field of business studies and will achieve new academic excellence in very near future.
