The Department of Computer Science & Engineering under the aegis of the School of Engineering was established in the year 2022. The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories of all major domains of Computer Science and Engineering with excellent internet, servers, hardware and software support like Videoconferencing etc. The Department has a team of highly qualified and experience faculty members with varied field of research areas. The department of Computer Science & Engineering makes an ongoing effort to establish and maintain a learning environment that supports the best possible levels of both teaching and research.
The Department is equally active in research with many quality publications each year in IEEE, Science Direct, ACM, Springer, Wiley etc. The objective is to create human resources who have a solid understanding about the aspects of theoretical, systematic, and application components of Computer Science and Engineering. Different scholarships/fellowships are also available for the deserving students of the Central University of Jammu. Under the department, the following B.Tech. programmes have been started in 2022.
The Department is also offering Ph.D. research Programme. The Department of Computer Science has successfully organized five International conferences annually on theme of “Recent Innovations in Computing” (ICRIC) since the year 2018.
To become a leader in providing quality education in computer science by inculcating international standard technical skills along with core ethical values among students and prepare them to be outstanding computer technocrats and nation builders.
