The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences at the Central University of Jammu was established in 2016 with the introduction of five-year Integrated B.Sc.(Hons.)-M.Sc. Chemistry program. The UGC recommended Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been implemented since the inception of the department. This course has an option of exit after completing three years with B.Sc.(Hons.) degree. The Ph.D. program in Chemistry was started in 2018-19 academic session.
