1. 2011 – Establishment & Foundation
  • University officially established through an Central Universities Act, 2009.
  • Appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor and key administrative staff.
  • Formation of Governing Bodies such as the Executive Council, Academic Council, and Finance Committee.
  • Identification/allocation of land for the university campus.

2. 2011-2014 – Initial Academic & Infrastructure Development
  • Launch of the first academic programs (e.g., postgraduate and undergraduate courses, Introduction of Ph.D. and research programs).
  • Recruitment of faculty and administrative staff.
  • Hiring of temporary campus facilities and initial infrastructure at Sainik Colony Jammu.
  • Affiliation and recognition by regulatory bodies (e.g., UGC, NAAC, NCTE).
  • First batch of students graduates.

3. 2015-2017 – Expansion & Growth
  • Addition of new departments, schools, and interdisciplinary programs.
  • Increase in student enrollment and faculty strength.
  • Development of permanent campus infrastructure at Rahya-Suchani (Bagla) District Samba (e.g., Academic and Road Infra, Professor’s Residences and Guest House).
  • MoUs signed with industry and academic institutions.

4. 2018-2020 – Research & Accreditation Milestones
  • Accreditation by NAAC and ranking recognition (e.g., NIRF).
  • Growth in research publications, patents, and funded projects.
  • Establishment of specialized research centers and innovation hubs.
  • Hosting national and international conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
  • Strengthening industry collaboration for internships and placements.
  • Establishment of CoE by ISRO, Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences
  • Hosting of Sports and Cultural Festival.
  • Hosting of First Convocation.

5. 2021-2024 – Digital Transformation & Global Outreach
  • Implementation of smart classrooms, digital learning platforms, and online education.
  • Recognition for academic and research excellence at national/international levels.
  • Establishment of CoE by DRDO, DRDO Industry Academia- Kalam Centre of Excellence
  • Participation in global academic collaborations and exchange programs.
  • Expansion of outreach initiatives, social responsibility programs, and community development projects.
  • Recruitment of faculty and administrative staff.
  • Introduction of IKS in UG,PG and Ph.D.Implementation of NEP-2020.

6. 2025 & Beyond – Future Prospects
  • Further expansion of academic disciplines, research facilities, and global partnerships.
  • Further expension of infrastructure like development of School of Engineering Building, School of Humanities and Social Sciences Building.
  • Strengthening alumni networks and corporate collaborations.
  • Recruitment of faculty and administrative staff.
  • Introduction of AI-driven learning and emerging technology-based programs.
  • Development of permanent campus infrastructure at Rahya-Suchani (Bagla) District Samba (e.g., School of Basic and Applied Sciences Building, Library Building, 500 Bedded Boys and 500 Bedded Girls Hostels).
  • Development of Gate Complex and Honb’le Vice Chancellor Residence.
