The Department of Mathematics came into existence in 2011 along with the inception of the Central University of Jammu with only two faculty members. At Present the Department have Six faculty members and the department is running two programs (Master Degree Programme in Mathematics and Ph.D in Mathematics). The faculty of Department has specialization in different fields such as: Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Operator Theory, Operation Research etc. On the basis of academic performance of the department DST, Govt. of India has sanctioned Rs. 54 lac under FIST Program. The faculty members of the department have also Research Projects funded by NBHM, Department of Atomic energy and UGC.
